As of 2018 Akiba is extending the Akiba Fitness brand to kids and teens with the introduction of FitnessGrooves 4 kids. After many requests by her adult clients to work with their kids she began to recognize a need to get kids moving in a fun way for fitness. FitnessGrooves 4 kids integrates a dance-cardio workout program with interval training. The system is designed to steer kids away from such negative activities as drugs, bad eating habits and outbursts of anger or depression and towards such positive activities as good study habits self-esteem and the natural high of exercise.
